Each year, the Guzman-Barron Escobedo (G-BE) Charitable Foundation currently awards scholarships to female students from Peru pursuing master's and doctoral degrees in STEM fields at U.S. universities. For many recipients, financial support can make the difference between accepting an offer from a top program and passing on the opportunity. 

Founded by four brothers and their families, the Foundation was inspired by their mother, one of the few female engineers in Peru in the 1960s. Her determination, and the opportunities education created for her, continue to shape our mission today.
